US SHOULD INVADE CANADA[1] is one of the earliest posts on Reason Hit and Run. It was posted by Ronald Bailey November 11, 2002. It is one of the most commented articles on H&R, having 416 posts. The article is unusual in that its comments range from the year 2003 to 2006. The commenters on this thread did not post on other H&R articles, being confined to this particular one for all those years mostly unnoticed by the rest of the community.

There is some speculation that the posts did not actually occur from 2003 - 2006, but were instead the result of a timestamp error. Several posts by xox mention that comments had disappeared and were not posting, but then the situation was corrected. Comments are now disabled.

Because of these unusual characteristics, the thread is an unofficially designated Reason Hit and Run site of historical interest. Because of its isolation from the rest of Reason, it represents the only other known comment culture. But it does share some characteristics with the mainstream culture, such as rampant name calling and general idiocy.
