Drinking game

From A Wiki Called Reason

Jump to: navigation, search

"Libertarianism: You might call it a 'drinking problem' we call it 'Tuesday'!" (See: Timothy)

A partial list harvested from Grylliade:

  • Whenever someone mentions handing back/turning in the libertarian decoder ring
  • Any post with a disclaimer that mentioning government action doesn't necessarily mean endorsement (See: Standard libertarian disclaimer)
  • Encouraging the breaking of the law. (See: Terry and the Libertarian Militia)
  • Any time someone says "For a magazine called Reason..." or any other intelligent variant thereof.
  • Pointing at a libertarian policy goal, no matter how relatively pragmatic, as "why nobody pays attention to/votes for libertarians".
  • Any time somebody claims "I knew libertarians really hated puppies/kittens/old people/TEH CHILDREN!"
  • Complaining about how Reason is shilling for Team Red OR Team Blue.
  • Complaining about how Reason has gone downhill since Virgina Postrel left.
  • Equating libertarianism with the Libertarian Party.
  • Declaring oneself to be a libertarian and then following that with a declaration that real libertarians would be willing to support some awful statist agenda that looks to be cut and pasted from one of the Big Teams' talking points feeds. (For more on this phenomenon, see Eric Dondero)
  • Referencing a crazy Dave W. trope, such as the evil corn syrup or bump-and-go pistols.
